This week in our English lessons, we have been thinking about the magical creatures which deliver our dreams. After watching a short animation called ‘The Dreamgiver’ we investigated other creature who deliver dreams such as the BFG and The Sandman. Each of us had our own favourite character. We have also began creating our own ‘Dreamgiver’ characters and we have used some lovely figurative language to write character descriptions of them.

Planting trees and crazy hair.
Year 6 have had a lovely week this week. On Monday, we planted trees with Mr Morgan. It was lovely to see how the trees planted in recent year are growing. Mr Morgan taught us how to plant willow trees amongst others. It was a lot of fun made even better by the shining sun.
On Thursday, we enjoyed a great game of cricket during our PE lesson. We might not have followed all of the rules but we had fun. There could be some future England batsmen/women in the making.
On Friday it was comic relief. To mark the occasion we raised money by having crazy hair for the day. Year 6 certainly looked funny all in the name of a good cause.
Welcome Back
It was wonderful to have class 6 back yesterday. We spent a bit of time chatting and catching up with each other before we got down to work.
It is Science week this week and we put our hand to designing and making structures. Firstly, we worked in teams to see who could make the tallest tower. Everyone put a lot of effort into it but results had mixed success much to the frustration of some. However, we did have lots of fun doing it.
